Something I just remembered

Do you know that you can get seeds, plants and trees with food stamps? Well you can - The Department of Agriculture says so - Item #10
Households CAN use SNAP benefits to buy:
Foods for the household to eat, such as:
-- breads and cereals
-- fruits and vegetables
-- meats, fish and poultry; and
-- dairy products
Seeds and plants which produce food for the household to eat.
That means you can get the stuff to grow your own garden, or even get a few friends or the neighborhood together and grow your own food. I know it takes a bit to get it started, but you can invest once and eat all season long, fresh fruit and veggies, plus you get to work out side in the dirt! How fun is that? :)

Good to know. Now if I only had a patch of earth in which to put those seeds... *sigh* Ah well. Perhaps someday... Flowers and Veggies. Sprouts and shrubs. Sounds like the suburban dream. *deeper sigh* Someday... Love you dad.
